As many of you may know I am back in Provo now. I'm here for the summer to live with all my friends again as well as to work. I'm selling pest control this summer and it's going pretty well. I've been meaning to put a new post up for a while now but i've just been putting it off, then i came across some pictures i took a couple months ago while i was in Hawaii and thought they would make a perfect post. A little bit of a background explanation is needed first though. The girl in all these pictures is Natalie. We call each other "BB," and as weird as it's going to sound stands for butt-checker bestie. We used to just call each other butt-checker because i called her that after she forgot her phone at wendy's one night a long time ago. She realized it wasn't in her back pocket and explained that she always checks her butt for her phone. I told her i do the same for my wallet and we called each other that ever since. Later the nickname changed to bestie and then one day Natalie very excitedly told me she came up with the best nickname ever: BB! so that's why we call each other that now.
Now to explain the pictures. I was studying in the library one day and Natalie started a video chat with me, but i had to type everything back because i couldn't be loud in the library. Then she got the hilarious idea to start making faces at all the people walking by to make me start laughing! It worked and i had to try my hardest not laugh out loud. Then i started taking screen shots of her faces so I could put them on my blog eventually. Then it evolved into me taking screen shots whenever we were on Gchat so i have quite a few funny ones. So here they are :) Love ya BB! p.s. don't kill me for this...

Swimmin' the Sharkies
Last week i did something very crazy and fun...i swam with sharks!! It was so amazing! We took a boat ride about 3 miles off shore and were then lowered into a cage while with snorkel gear on so we could stay underwater and see all the sharks. We saw two kinds of sharks, Galapagos and sand sharks. They averaged about 8-10 ft, but there were a couple of 12-footers swimming around us. And there were about 10 sharks swimming around the cage while we were down there. SO COOL!!

OOOPS!! i did it again!

on friday i was hiking to this beautiful waterfall in the mountains of hawaii and on the way back down i slipped while crossing a big stream. it was very wet and muddy, and my shoes had no traction on them. i fell backwards and tried to catch myself, but landed on my hand. i wasn't too concerned at first, but then it started swelling and hurting more so i wen't in and got it x-rayed on saturday and they said it was just sprained, not broken. so it's in a splint for the next couple of days. it happened to my right wrist, so it's been really hard lately doing everything with my left hand. the biggest problem is that i have a big dance performance on wednesday...so hopefully everything will go well with that still. we'll see...

New Camera!!
So i gave in and bought a new camera. I wanted one that I can take everywhere with me because i'm in Hawaii and I don't want to miss out on any photo opportunities. The camera is a cannon powershot d10. it's a waterproof one and that's mainly why i got it. But the more i've used it the more i love it! It takes amazing pictures! Here are some of the ones I took last week.
this was my first underwater picture. i put in the fountain at the temple and took a pic of me and drew above the water surface. Stairway To Heaven

I celebrated Presidents Day by going on one of the coolest hikes on the island. It's called the Stairway to Heaven and it consists of 3,922 steps that go straight up the mountain side to a peak overlook of 2,800 feet! It took us about 1 1/2 hours to get up to the top and it was freezing cold up there! The wind was blowing really hard, but it was all worth it because we made it up to the top for the sunrise. It really did feel like we were sitting in Heaven looking down on the island

CONCERT CRAZY!
Over the past month i've had a blast going to a couple of concerts. The first one was Mae. It was my second time seeing them in concert and they were awesome! My friends and i all decided to go with an emo theme for the concert, despite the total non-emoness of Mae. We all thought it would be pretty funny. So i went to work on my hair and made a red mohawk. It was freakishly cool.
The other concert i went to recently was Relient K. That concert was even better than the Mae Concert. There was a lot more energy and the bands that opened for Relient K were a lot better than the bands that opened for Mae. We didn't really have a theme of what to wear to this one, so we all just did our own thing. I attempted to fro my hair out and it actually didn't turn out too bad. It was really fun too because it had a springy bounce to it all night, which made head banging that much better. One of the highlights of the concert was when Relient K played a remix to The Office theme song. It was so cool! It definitely made my night.
